How I Fell in Love with Travel & Started Building a Life Around It
I’m Justi — a traveler, content creator, photographer, and a soul that was simply never meant to stay in one place. And since this is my very first blog post, I wanted to share something personal with you: a glimpse into how this journey really started.
My love for travel began early, from real-life road trips with my family. I still remember it like it was yesterday — falling asleep in the back seat on our way to Croatia, and waking up to a new view. We didn’t follow strict itineraries, we stopped where we wanted, changed plans when we felt like it, and somehow, that kind of freedom just clicked.
I was that little girl with a dream to see the whole world with my own eyes — not just listen to what others say about it, but experience it for myself. Every time in class when we were asked to draw our future, write about our biggest dreams, or share what we wanted most in life, other kids said things like “a bike,” “a puppy,” or “a toy.” But me? I always said: “I want to travel the world.” And I meant it.

I’ve always been curious about places and the little details that make every destination feel different. Over the years, that curiosity turned into something deeper — a knowing that I wasn’t meant to stay still, that I wanted a life full of adventure, not routines.
Photography came right alongside it. I still remember waking up at 5 am with my grandma, my first real camera in hand, chasing the soft morning light in her garden. I loved how a single photo could freeze a feeling, a moment, a memory. That’s when I realized — I didn’t just want to see the world, I wanted to capture it and show others how beautiful it really is.
So often, people take their surroundings for granted — rushing through life, missing the magic that’s right in front of them. I’d share a photo and someone would say, “Wait, that’s my hometown?” They couldn’t believe it. But that’s exactly what I love — finding the beauty in the everyday, the quiet corners, the light that hits just right.
That’s what I try to share through my lens — not just places, but a way of seeing the world through a different perspective.

So, I went. Alone. Scared. With way too many questions and doubts in my head. But I couldn’t have been happier about that choice. That trip changed something in me. It gave me the confidence to go after my dreams, even if they felt uncertain or scary.
And from there? Everything started to shift — I studied abroad, lived in seven different places, made best friends from all over the world, and slowly began building a life that finally felt like me.
Travel became so much more than just a getaway — it became a way of meeting a better version of myself. It taught me how to be confident, independent, open, and connected. It showed me how much beauty there is in the world — and in the people we meet along the way. I honestly can’t imagine my life without traveling anymore.
