5 Things I Always Pack When I Travel

Traveling has taught me so many things — but one of the most important lessons? Always pack smart.

Over the years (and after plenty of trial and error), I’ve figured out what truly matters in my suitcase. If you’re wondering what to pack when traveling, or just want to make your trip a little smoother, these are my top 5 travel essentials I never leave without. They’ve saved me countless times, whether I’m traveling solo, creating content for brands, or just trying to be prepared for anything that might come up along the way.

Here are the things I always bring on a trip — and I truly believe they might help you too!

“Traveling has taught me so many things — but one of the most important lessons?
Always pack smart.

1. Loop Earplugs – for quiet wherever I go

I’m super sensitive to sound, which means sleeping on flights, trains, or in noisy apartments is a real struggle. That’s why I never travel without my Loop earplugs. I actually carry three kinds (Sleep, Engage, and one more), but the Sleep version is my favorite — it helps me block out the world when I need to rest or focus.

They’ve saved me during overnight flights, loud neighborhoods (yes, Playa de las Américas — I’m thinking of you), and even when working on my laptop in busy cafés. If you’re staying in hostels or shared spaces, these are essential!

2. AirTag — so I never lose my bags

This little gadget is honestly a lifesaver. It’s a small tracker (from Apple) that I hide inside my luggage — and thanks to it, I can always check where my bag is using my phone.

I first got it for peace of mind during flights, but now I use it all the time — usually for my carry-on or in the bag when I’m heading to the new city. Especially in busy airports or during layovers, it’s such a relief to know my bag didn’t get lost somewhere along the way.

It’s such a small thing, but trust me — when you’re traveling, especially solo, knowing exactly where your belongings are makes all the difference.

3. Wireless Power Bank — a low battery is a travel nightmare

As a content creator (or honestly, any traveler), a low phone battery can feel like a crisis. I always carry a wireless power bank to make sure I’m never left without maps, Instagram access, or — let’s be honest — a way to capture that perfect sunset shot.

Phone charged & ready to shoot = no stress.

4. Content Creator Essentials – tripod, phone stand & lanyard

If you’re a solo traveler or a content creator, you’ll get me! I always carry these items:

  • Tripod

My must-have for capturing myself in beautiful locations without asking strangers. I don’t need to ask strangers or skip the photo — I just set it up, frame the shot, and capture the moment how I want it. Super helpful in cute cafés, beaches, or anywhere with a view. Freedom, always.

  • MOFT Phone Stand

I didn’t know how much I needed this until I got MOFT phone stand – I didn’t realize how much I needed this until I got one (in baby pink, of course!). It’s super slim (you barely notice it’s there), but when I need it, boom, it turns into a phone stand with adjustable angles. I use it for selfies, food shots at restaurants, or to prop my phone up while working at my desk. So much better than trying to balance it against a glass or a random item in the room!

  • Phone lanyard

My #1 safety + convenience combo! I wear it around my neck and wrist, especially when I’m in busy cities or shooting in risky spots — like over cliffs or water (used it on the front of a yacht once and never felt safer!). It’s also such a game-changer in places known for pickpocketing. Having my phone secure and stylish, was best decision ever.

5. Tote Bag – simple, light & always useful

A classic. I always fold one into my bag, and it ends up being the thing I reach for the most when I’m heading to a local market, picking up snacks, going on a beach day, or just don’t feel like carrying a bulky supermarket bag around. It’s perfect for holding all the little things I’d otherwise have to juggle in my hands (and it’s not what we want, we’re here to romanticize the life).

It’s also such a cute accessory to add to your travel outfits — minimal but stylish.

Bonus tip: if you want to make it extra special, get a personalized one with your name, favorite quote, or even something fun that matches the destination — like an Aperol Spritz print for Italy or a little croissant sketch for Paris. Think of it not only as a practical travel item — but a little joy you carry with you.

There are always a few extras I add into my bag (a reusable water bottle, my go-to eye mask, a few essential meds, and of course, hand sanitizer because you never know), but these things have become non-negotiables in my travel routine.

And honestly, that’s what makes the journey smoother — not perfection, but being ready in your own way. Maybe they’ll become your must-haves too, or maybe they’ll remind you to pack what makes you feel good. Either way, here’s to packing with intention — and traveling with heart!
